The numbers of refugees and displaced migrants continue to grow at an alarming rate. Hope Teams are passionate about helping these neglected migrants experience the love of Jesus Christ. Each team consists of several young people, each of whom has joined for a two-year term. The teams serve in the epicenters of the crisis, where they proclaim the Gospel and extend the love of Jesus in practical, hopeful ways.
We have teams serving in the United Kingdom and Western Asia.
Members of Hope Teams serve for two years.
Ideal team members are resilient people who are passionate to share Christ’s love and his Word cross-culturally, and are ready to take on the challenge of learning how to meet the needs of migrants.
Members of Hope Teams should:
Love Jesus and his church
Display spiritual, emotional and relational maturity
Handle the details of life independently
Demonstrate self-discipline and sacrifice for priorities
Work without having constant oversight
Manage change and diversity successfully, and
Persevere in the face of difficulty
Have previous positive cross-cultural experience
No one is perfect in all these areas, but people who are already growing and demonstrating these characteristics will be best prepared for the challenges Hope Teams will face. There are limited openings, so applicants will be considered for placement based on best fit with developing teams.
